Overview

miBaguette is a Vietnamese street-food restaurant in Schwäbisch Gmünd, and this is its complete digital surface, built and shipped solo. The public site carries the menu, the opening hours, online ordering with pickup slots, reservations and events.

Behind it sits an eleven-tab dashboard where the owners edit all of it themselves: dishes, prices, opening hours, holidays, the editorial copy and the FAQ. No deploy, and no developer in the loop.

Process

  1. Step 1: Guests order and book

They read the menu with allergens, vegan and vegetarian markers, spice levels and what is sold out for today, then order for a pickup slot or reserve a table.

  2. Step 2: The restaurant hears about it

Orders and reservations arrive by mail and on Telegram, and stay in the dashboard.

  3. Step 3: Each path stands on its own

If the database is down, the mails still go out. If the mail provider is down, the order is still in the dashboard.

  4. Step 4: The owners change everything

Menu, prices, opening hours, holidays, texts and FAQ live in the database and are edited from the dashboard, so the restaurant runs its own website.

By design

  • Owner-operated. A restaurant cannot wait for a developer to change today's opening hours, so it never has to: the owners do it from the dashboard.

  • A change of register. A deliberate step away from the AI and crypto work: an ordinary local business whose software has to work every day.

  • A current stack. Next.js 16, React 19, Tailwind v4, Drizzle and Postgres.
