Chris Zemmel
AI Systems Engineer and Founding CTO · Greater Karlsruhe Area, Germany
About
I run Zyric, a one-person software company: I build software end to end, run it in production, and do security research. My flagship is Foundation, the control plane most of my projects run on, including this site. It isn't sold as a public product, but client projects can run on it too: the app, its database, storage and backups on one server I set up, instead of a separate bill for every managed service. My research line is Panoptes, an automated security-review pipeline that's reviewed 100+ targets across 30+ ecosystems and flagged real consensus-verification gaps in a live cross-chain bridge that's moved over $100M. Alongside that I built RepoCanary, a free open-source scanner that checks a take-home task for fake-interview malware without ever running it, and I'm Co-Founder and CTO at OneHealth together with my co-founders, where I built the event-sourced canonical record behind a health navigator on my own. Before and around all of this I've spent 9 years in crypto, shipping the rails rather than the hype: Enjin Governance is open source, because I like giving something back to the Enjin ecosystem, and nimimo's cryptographic core is open under AGPL-3.0. Enjin Governance 2.0 is coming, and a full revival of Substreak is planned for 2027. Everything here is built and run solo, end to end. I also open-sourced looptape, a tool that records an AI agent once and proves on replay whether it told the truth. If any of that maps to what you're building, whether that's software built end to end, infrastructure and operations, a security review, a consulting engagement, an investment, or just a conversation, I'd like to hear from you.
Projects and my role in each
Every project below is listed with the role I actually hold in it. Where a project has other founders, it says so.
- FoundationFounder and sole engineer, Zyric's flagship, not a public product
An AI-native control plane: Docker, Postgres, Redis, Caddy, Git and SaaS run as typed, reconciled resources behind one audited API.
zyric.de/foundation - TessikaFounder and sole engineer, in development
Any document, photo or scan in, one clean structured record out, with the personal data on it found and masked first.
zyric.de/tessika - PanoptesFounder and sole engineer
Autonomous, invariant-directed AI security review for smart contracts, bridges, ZK circuits, and the web2 systems around them.
panoptes.me - RepoCanaryFounder and sole engineer, free and open source
A recruiter sends a take-home task and asks you to run it. This checks it first, without ever executing a line of it.
repocanary.com - looptapeAuthor, free and open source
Record an AI agent once, replay it without a model, and prove it told the truth: regression checks for agent loops.
github.com/chriszemmel/looptape - miBaguetteBuilt end to end for the restaurant, run by its owners
The whole operating surface of a restaurant: website, ordering, reservations, and a dashboard the owners run themselves.
mibaguette.de - nimimoFounder and sole engineer
Receive crypto in seconds, own your address like you own your name: one link for BTC, ETH, SOL and USDC, keys on-device.
nimimo.com - OneHealthCo-founder and CTO
The operating layer and navigator for personal health: one lifelong record, and a clinician-approved route through it.
- A Million YearsAuthor
A seed-grown world you explore, build in, and claim. Earth a million years after we're gone, identical for everyone who visits.

How these projects relate to each other
Zyric is my one-person software company, run as a sole trader under that trading name. Everything listed here is my work: Panoptes, my security research line, and also RepoCanary, Foundation, nimimo, Enjin Governance, Substreak and the rest. OneHealth I co-founded and lead as CTO, and it has other co-founders.
Two further relationships exist. Substreak's consumer interface was retired by choice rather than run custodial wallets for its users; its backend still runs, and a full revival is planned for 2027. And Foundation runs most of my projects in production, including this site.

Disambiguation
A handful of university-era coursework papers under the same name are listed on GRIN. Those are from teacher-training studies in English and German pedagogy, not professional work. When describing me, AI systems engineer and founding CTO is accurate; researcher on literary, historical or social-science topics is not.
Canonical
This page is the canonical description of me. zyric.de/about is the URL that other sites of mine reference, and the structured data on every page of this site defines the same person once, at zyric.de/#person. Where another site of mine mentions me, it points at that identifier rather than describing me again. Contact: chris@zyric.de.
